Norman Ceriotti

I'm a drummer from Milan, Italy. I've started playing drums in 2010, at the age of 15. Since then, I've played and composed for many bands of different genres, from pop to technical death metal. During my career, I had the opportunity to study with many great drummers like Riccardo Merlini, Eugenio Mori, James Payne, Marthyn Jovanovic, Kerim "Krimh" Lechner, Eugene Ryabchenko, Kevin Paradis, Wanja Groger, Giulio Galati and Jacopo Pierazzuoli and attend to masterclass and clinics by Dennis Chambers, Chris Coleman, Dave Elitch, Mike Mangini, Dom Fomularo, Stanton Moore, George Kollias, Federico Paulovich, Richard Spaven, Dali Mraz, and Davide Merlino. In 2012, I started my math rock solo project Blue Neon. In 2014, I started with two friends the progressive metal band Ego The Enemy. In April 2016, I've been invited as a guest in the radio program "Lenti Progressive" of the Politecnico di Milano webradio. In 2017, at the age of 22, I decided to start studying and playing drums with the aim of becoming a professional drummer. In the same period, I founded with some friends a brutal death metal side project called Putrefactlungsgrinder and started to play as a session drummer for the Italian songwriter Pietro Saino. In October 2017, I started working as a session drummer for Phaser Studios (Italy) and studying in the Modern Drumming course with master Eugenio Mori at Accademia del Suono in Milan and in the ABRSM music theory course at Dedalo Music School in Novara. In the following months, I joined the band Roll For Initiative and began to teach to students. In December 2017, I made an audition to join the progressive death metal band Astral Path. At the beginning of 2018, I started a jazz trio called Olona Trio. In March 2018, I started working as a session drummer for Low-End Studio (Colombia), became endorser of ACD Unlimited and did a studio session for the deathcore band Skorseze (USA). In April 2018, I did a live session for the death metal band Lelahell (Algeria), I joined the metalcore band Clairvoyance and began a technical death metal project. In May 2018, I played some live shows in Italy as a session drummer for the metalcore band Delirant Chaotic Sound. In July 2018, I wrote an article about Diril Cymbals on Planet-Drum webzine. In September 2018, I became endorser of On Trigger triggers, endorser of MrDrum drumsticks and worked on some live sessions for the speed metal band Alltheniko. In October 2018, I started studying in the Modern Drumming professional course with master Eugenio Mori at ArteMusica in Milan. In December 2018, I became endorser of Diril Cymbals Italia, I wrote an article about On Trigger on Planet-Drum webzine and joined the avant-garde technical death metal solo project Viz (Switzerland/Italy) as a session drummer to record the LP "So Beautifully Human". In March 2019, I started an endorsement with Code Drumheads Italia. In April 2019, I joined the brutal death metal band Eden Beast as a live and studio session drummer. In May 2019, I prepared some live shows for the deathgrind band Deathtopia (Japan/Italy). In June 2019, I recorded a video for Roll For Initiative new single "Low Life". In July 2019, I did a live session for the alternative rock band Atwood, started a studio session for the progressive metal band Voxager (Germany) and started a studio session for Javan Garza's industrial rock solo project (USA). In August 2019, I did studio sessions for the thrash metal band Incognita (Portugal/Finland) and for the nu metal band Brokin (USA). In September 2019, I started a live session with the black metal band Locus Animae, teaching at Musik Factory in Magenta (Italy) and a studio session for the thrash metal band Fallen Man (USA). In October 2019, I joined the blackened deathcore band Defamed. In November 2019, I joined Locus Animae as full time drummer and did a studio session for Simone Giovinazzo's solo project. In December 2019, I started a studio session for Kennyanapple (Norway) and recorded two official videos for Defamed. In February 2020, I started a studio session for Giacomo Colombo's solo project. In March 2020, I started a studio session for the melodic metalcore band Marble. In April 2020, I recorded drums for a collaboration of Musik Factory teachers. In May 2020, I recorded a masterclass about double bass drumming for Musik Factory, had an interview with Defamed for NuMusic Podcast, recorded drums for La Rosa d'Eventi organization theme song and had an interview with them. In June 2020, I started a studio session for the progressive metalcore band Lost the Planet and became endorser of Vratim shoes, Roll'em drumsticks and Janara distribution. In July 2020, I recorded two playthrough videos with Defamed, an official video with Clairvoyance, an official video with Marble as a session drummer and made a studio session for the thrash metal band Unchained (USA). In August 2020, I recorded two official videos with Defamed. In September 2020, I started a studio session with the death metal band Karnar and started working with Hvze Studio. In October 2020, I started a studio session for the death metal band Legione (Perù) and joined the FeaturedX team as a session artist. In November 2020, I started a studio session for the blackened melodic death metal band Forced Ingestion (Denmark). In December 2020, I started a live/studio session for the mathcore band Desource, did a studio session for Giacomo Bonfadini (Clairvoyance, Regression in Enthropia), for the death metal band Kill the Emperor (USA), for Simone Verde's (Defamed) solo project and for Joshua Rocchi's (Defamed) side project, started working with The Obscure Country Studio, endorsing New Drum Percussion beaters and recorded an official video for the song "Hades" by Clairvoyance. In January 2021, I started a new band and recorded a drum playthrough for the song "The Diary" by Desource. In February 2021, I started a studio session for the alternative metalcore band K-Usura. In April 2021, I did a studio session for the industrial metal band Lack of Foresight (Canada), started a new math rock band and had an interview for NuoveNote podcast. In May 2021, I started a live session with the death metal band Grind Zero. In June 2021, I started a studio session for the technical death metal band Olamot and the blackened technical death metal band Fictio Solemnis and recorded two official videos for the band Clairvoyance. In September 2021, I started a new jazz project. In October 2021, I started a live session for the progressive metal band Cyrax. In November 2021, I started a live session with the black metal band Stormcrow, a studio session for the producer SSH (South Korea), a live session with the deathcore band Alkemy and recorded a new official video for the band Defamed. In January 2022, I started with a friend a new instrumental mathcore band. In February 2022, I've been invited as a guest in the radio program "StoryTime" of Radio Canale Italia and started working as a drum coach and drum teacher for Ultimate Music Training. I am finally doing what I love and I couldn't be any happier!!!
