Lucia Elisabetta Ceruti

Sono una ragazza che non ha mai smesso di sognare e di tirare fuori i suoi sogni dal cassetto. Da mio padre, pittore e grafico, ho ereditato la passione per tutte le forme d'arte. Alle scuole medie ebbi l'onore di avere, come insegnante di musica, il Maestro Franco Reitano, fratello del grande Mino Reitano. Per quanto riguarda il suono delle chitarre distorte, fece irruzione nella mia tenera vita il giorno in cui fui affidata ad un baby sitter heavy metal! Per intrattenermi, era solito mettermi davanti agli altoparlanti dello stereo, suonando canzoni di Van Halen, Iron Maiden, AC/DC... Fu amore al primo ascolto! Con il mio primo stipendio comprai una chitarra usata ed iniziai a suonare in un gruppo punk locale. Poco dopo maturai un approccio più tecnico allo strumento, prendendo lezioni da Frank Rider, chitarrista solista dei Love Machine. Questa prima parentesi musicale si concluse negli anni Novanta. Nel cassetto misi la mia chitarra e, con essa, il mio sogno. Lì rimase per sedici anni, fino al giorno in cui decisi di rimettermi in gioco. Abbracciare di nuovo lo strumento fu una sfida davvero entusiasmante. Con l'intenzione di fondare una rock band, pubblicai il più classico degli annunci. Decisiva fu l'adesione di Federico De Benedetti, chitarrista solista, che diede  fiducia al mio progetto e mi supportò nella selezione dei restanti componenti, dando vita all’attuale formazione della mia attuale band, i 2ndS OUT! (www.secondsout.it). Nati per suonare dal vivo, ci sentiamo a nostro agio sia sui piccoli palchi di pub e club, sia sui grandi palchi impegnativi dei festival musicali. La nostra scaletta include I Classici del Rock dagli Anni '70 fino ad Oggi, dai Pink Floyd ai Metallica. Guardando al futuro, il prossimo obiettivo è produrre il nostro primo singolo, da promuovere attraverso le radio locali, con le quali collaboriamo già con esibizioni dal vivo. Guardando a me come artista e musicista, sono costantemente alla ricerca di idee per intrattenere i followers, con grande attenzione a ciò che gli inglesi definiscono “attitude on stage”! In questo, due artiste donne sono state  per me di grande ispirazione: Jennifer Butten, la chitarrista americana, famosa per la sua collaborazione con Michel Jackson, e Tina Turner. All'età di 14 anni, quando iniziai a manifestare la svolta rock, a chi mi chiedeva, a quale eroina mi ispirassi, rispondevo: "Tina Turner!" e aggiungevo: a cinquant'anni sarò come lei!". E sto ancora cercando di farcela!

I'm a girl who never stopped dreaming and pulling her dreams out of the drawer. From my father, painter and graphic designer, I inherited the passion for all the art forms. At the secondary school, I had the honor of having, as a music teacher, Maestro Franco Reitano, brother of the great Italian singer Mino Reitano. As for the sound of distorted guitars, it burst into my tender life the day I was entrusted to a heavy metal baby sitter! To entertain me, he used to place me in front of the stereo speakers, shooting songs by Van Halen, Iron Maiden, AC/DC... It was love at first ear! With my first salary I bought a used guitar and I started playing in a local punk band. Soon later, I matured a more technical approach to the instrument, taking lessons from Frank Rider, lead guitarist of Love Machine. This first musical parenthesis ended in the nineties. In the case I put my guitar and, with it, my dream. There it stayed for sixteen years, until the day I decided to get back in the game. Embracing the instrument again was a truly exciting challenge. Intending to found a rock band, I published the most classic of ads. Decisive was the adhesion of Federico De Benedetti, lead guitar player, who trusted my project and supported me in the selection of the remaining members, ending up in the present line-up of my band, called 2ndS OUT! (www.secondsout.it). Born to play live, we feel confident both on small stages of pubs and clubs and on challenging big stages of musical festivals. Our setlist includes the classis of rock from the 70’s until today, ranging from Pink Floyd to Metallica. Looking at the future, the next target is to produce our first single, to promote through local radios, with whom we cooperate already with live gigs. Regarding myself as artist and musician, I’m constantly looking for ways to entertain the followers, with great focus on look and attitude on stage. Two female artists have been a great inspiration to me in this: Jennifer Butten, the American guitarist, famous for her cooperation with Michel Jackson, and Tina Turner. At the age of 14, when I started to take the rock turn, to those who asked me, which heroine I was inspired by, I used to reply: "Tina Turner!” and to add: At fifty, I will be like her!". And I’m still trying to make it!
