Gianluca Grisafi

A versatile guitarist, bassist, and instructor, Gianluca embarked on his musical journey at a young age with the piano, later transitioning to guitar, where he deepened his passion for Brazilian music. A few years later, he discovered the bass, diving into the realms of jazz and Afro-Cuban music. He enriched his education through university courses and masterclasses in harmony, composition, and jazz arranging. However, the pivotal moment in his development came when he met Valerio Silvestro and Loredana Lubrano, under whom he honed his skills first as a performer and then as a teacher of Ensemble Music and Modern Functional Harmony. Today, Gianluca balances his performance in Latin and Jazz ensembles with teaching Ensemble Music and Applied Music Theory and Harmony, as well as bass and guitar.
